Dromod Flood Relief

The outline Scheme Area for this project is the town of Dromod which can be subject to flooding from the River Shannon. The Shannon CFRAM study identified Dromod as an Area for Further Assessment (AFA) and concluded that a flood relief scheme would be viable and effective for the community.

Dromod was not in the first tranche of schemes announced for funding by the OPW. Leitrim County Council will continue to work with the OPW to progress a scheme in Dromod.
