Leitrim County Council are delighted to announce the launch of an exciting new heritage initiative called the Leitrim Fieldnames Project. We need volunteers and Free training workshops are being offered.
Leitrim Local Community Safety Partnership (LCSP) is now undertaking a public survey to inform the development of Leitrim’s first Local Community Safety Plan.
The Leitrim Community Holy Wells Project (2026) is a community heritage initiative to research Holy Wells across Co. Leitrim. Holy wells, sites of heritage and cultural interest and significance, have long been part of the Irish landscape. We need volunteers, both individuals and community groups, to come forward to help undertake archival, oral history and field survey research. Training will be provided.
