Week Long Drone Survey at Lough Rinn starting Monday 27th January 2025

Lough Rinn Catchment Area

 

On behalf of Leitrim County Council, Murphy Geospatial will be undertaking a UAV Drone Survey of a 24 square kilometre area around Lough Rinn catchment area, Mohill, Co. Leitrim from Monday 27th January for a period of up to one week. This is weather dependant. The purpose of the survey is to establish a topographical contours to aid the development of a hydraulic study for Lough Rinn.

 Murphys Geospatial are licenced and Registered for working in Air Space by Irish Aviation Authority (IAA). All works are carried out by Competent Pilots for Murphys Geospatial who are Licenced by the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA). All surveys conform to the Irish Transverse Mercator (ITM) co-ordinate and Ordinance Datum Malin Head levels.

 Murphy Geospatial is currently licenced and registered under the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) to operate drones for such aerial surveys.  As part of the IAA Licence Murphys Geospatial are compliant with Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) and Civilian Aviation Authority (CAA) Rules & Regulations and the Data Protection (Amendment) Act 2003 (Privacy). Murphy Geospatial completed a Data Privacy Risk Assessment for this Project. A Risk Assessment, method Statement (RAMS) was completed for this Project by Murphy Geospatial and approved by our Consulting Engineer. Murphys Geospatial have in place all Insurances Public Liability, Employers Liability and Professional Indemnity in place for the Project.
