Temporary Road Closure - Sean MacDiarmada St. (Decision)

Roads Act 1993 / Temporary Closing of Roads

In accordance with the provisions of Section 75 of the above Act and Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, and for the purpose of facilitating planned works to demolish an existing building and construct Social Housing on Sean MacDiarmada Street (formally Castle St.), Manorhamilton, Co. Leitrim, Notice is hereby given that Leitrim County Council has made a decision to close the following section of public road in the Manorhamilton Municipal District:

Road Closure:  R280 at Sean Mac Diarmada Street (formally Castle St) at its junction with the N-16-2 to its junction with the R-282-1 and Creamery Road
Dates: From 16th April 2025 to 16th May 2025
Alternative Routes: Via L-2643-3 Park Road and R-282-1 Skreeney Road

All diversions will be signposted. Leitrim County Council will endeavour to expedite the works process in order to open the road sooner.
