Trailers
All trailers with a Design Gross Vehicle Weight (DGVW) of more than 3,500 kg must be registered at your local motor tax office, including brand new and imported trailers.
First licencing of trailers manufactured before 29th October 2012
- TF100 Form
- TF300B Form (must be completed by the manufacturer, or where the manufacturer cannot be contacted, the form must be completed by an Approved Test Centre (ATC))
- Proof of address (i.e., utility bill within last 3 months).
- Proof of PPS/VAT Number.
- Original Invoice or Lease Agreement for purchase of trailer showing the VIN/Chassis No.
- Photo ID – Driving Licence or Passport
- Fee of €60.

- TF100 Form
- TF300A Form
- EU Certificate of Conformity or Irish National Small Series Type Certificate of Conformity or Irish Individual Vehicle Approval Certificate or Plate Certificate (if imported from UK)
- Proof of address (i.e., utility bill within last 3 months).
- Proof of PPS/VAT Number.
- Original Invoice or Lease Agreement for purchase of trailer showing the VIN/Chassis No.
- Photo ID – Driving Licence or Passport
- Fee of €60.
Change of Ownership
- TF200 form (Notification of Transfer of Trailer Ownership) signed by both buyer & seller

Replacement Trailer Card
- RF134 Replacement Document Form
- Fee of €6
