Housing Adaptation Grant for People with a Disability
The Housing Adaptation Grant for People with a Disability is a grant for people with a physical, sensory, mental health or intellectual disability. It provides funding to carry out works that are considered reasonably necessary to carry out works to adapt the accommodation to make it more suitable for the needs of a person with a disability for whom grant aid is sought.
The maximum grant you can get is €30,000 or 95% of the cost of the work (whichever is less). The grant is a means tested payment whereby income from the previous tax year is assessed to determine the rate of grant that an applicant approved.
