Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)
Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Week: 20th-29th September 2024
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a blueprint for us to achieve a more sustainable future for all and will help us deal with the global challenges we face including climate change and environmental degradation. The National Implementation Plan for the SDGs (2022-2024) recognises local authorities as key stakeholders in this and emphasises the important role that local authorities can have in raising awareness of the SDGs and contributing to change. Therefore, as part of SDG week, Leitrim County Council wish to highlight a series of events taking place in Leitrim between 20th and 29th September 2024. These events relate to SDGs such as sustainability, climate action, biodiversity, waste reduction, recycling and energy saving.
