Pride of Place

Pride of Place

IPB Pride of Place, in association with Co-operation Ireland, is a prestigious all-island competition with entries from the 32 counties competing for the coveted Winner or Runner-up prize in a variety of categories.

Every county council / local authority in Ireland and Northern Ireland can nominate a maximum of three entries, which showcase exceptional efforts made by communities.

The purpose of Pride of Place is to acknowledge the work being done every day by communities all over the island of Ireland.   Since it started 21 years ago the judges have met hundreds of thousands of people. The competition is based on communities demonstrating directly to the judges their pride in their place through presentations, exhibitions of community activities and culture and a tour of the area highlighting the aspects of which they are particularly proud.
