Leitrim Older Peoples Council

Leitrim Older Peoples Council

Leitrim Older People’s Council (OPC) was established in 2012 in line with the national Age Friendly programme. It is made up of 16 members, who aim to represent the collective voice of all older people in Leitrim. They represent issues, both local and national, that affect the lives of everyone as they age.
Leitrim OPC has 2 representatives on Leitrim’s Age Friendly Alliance, ensuring that their voice reaches decision makers. They strive to make sure all actions are relevant to people growing older in Leitrim now, and in the future.

Leitrim OPC is open to new members. They meet on a quarterly basis and attend regional and national events, sharing information and discussing relevant issues.
