Biodiversity Action Plan - Pre-Draft Public Consultation
Leitrim County Council is preparing a new Local Authority Biodiversity Action Plan (LABAP) supported by the Heritage Council. With the recent appointment of a Biodiversity Officer, under the Heritage Council’s Biodiversity Officer Programme, Leitrim County Council are commencing this process and will be developing a Local Authority Biodiversity Action Plan 2025 - 2030. The aim of the plan will be to record, conserve, restore and promote biodiversity within County Leitrim over the next five years.
A discussion paper has been developed to stimulate interest and encourage public participation to help identify local biodiversity issues and needs. Click on the link to download and read the discussion paper
