Community Engagement

Leitrim County Council views the arts and creativity as essential skills and a mindset that every person can explore. Communities and individuals of all ages can develop confidence, a sense of self, and a shared understanding though creative expression and every effort should be made to provide that opportunity.

Any group of people that comes together because they share a common place, interest or characteristic can be said to be a community, and as such, any group that comes together to engage with the arts, to explore their own creativity, or to explore themes through the arts are central in this context.
