Temporary Road Closure - Sean MacDiarmada St. (Proposal)

Roads Act 1993 / Temporary Closing of Roads
In accordance with the provisions of Section 75 of the above Act and Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, and for the purpose of facilitating planned works to demolish an existing building and construct Social Housing on Sean MacDiarmada Street (formally Castle Street), Manorhamilton. Notice is hereby given that Leitrim County Council proposes to make a decision to close the following section of public road:

Road Closure:  R280 at Sean MacDiarmada Street, at its junction with the N16-2 to the junction with the R282-1 and Creamery Road
Dates: From 16th April to 16th May 2025
Alternative Routes: Via L2643-3 Park Road and R282-1 Skreeney Road

All diversions will be signposted.

Any person aggrieved by the proposed decision to close the road described may lodge an objection with the Director of Services for Economic Development, Planning & Transportation, Leitrim County Council, Aras an Chontae, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim, no later than 16:00 on Monday 31st March, 2025.

Leitrim County Council will endeavour to expedite the works process in order to open the road sooner.
