Temporary Road Closure - Lurganboy to Shanvaus

In accordance with the provisions of Section 75 of the above Act and Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, and for the purpose of facilitating Uisce Éireann with water mains rehabilitation works on the Lurganboy to Shanvaus Scheme, Notice is hereby given that Leitrim County Council has made a decision to close the following public road:

Location: Starting from the junction with N16-2 at Pollboy Td (Shanvaus Cross) and finishing at the junction of LP02136-0, LP04134-0 & LP04135-0 at Ballyglass / Barrackpark / Twigspark Tds in Lurganboy

Dates: 6th November 2024 – 31st January 2025

Alternative Routes: Diversion via the N16, L-4141-0, L-4137-0, L4134-0 (both directions) 

Please note that access to all houses will be accommodated where possible. Local access to L-21691-0 is available.  Access for Emergency vehicles will be accommodated at all times.  Access for businesses and local residents will be maintained but may be limited by agreement to certain times. All temporary Traffic Management will be removed and the roads will be re-opened for the Christmas holiday period.
