Leitrim County Council allocated €500,000 funding under ORIS for Outdoor Recreation Projects Minister for Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht, Dara Calleary TD, has today (Monday, 3 November 2025) announced funding of €500,000 today to Leitrim County Council to support the construction of a greyway between Dromod and Roosky.
At the Supervalu Tidy Town Awards 2025 that took place today in Croke Park, Carrick-on-Shannon was named by Minister Dara Calleray as the overall winner of Ireland’s Tidiest Town. Earlier in the awards ceremony, Carrick-on-Shannon also won the award as Ireland’s Tidiest Small Town.
